Advanced Silicon Group (ASG) is developing the next-generation biosensor. ASG’s biosensor can simultaneously measure the concentration of many proteins and is fast, simple, and inexpensive to use, lowering the barriers to protein sensing. This innovation has numerous potential applications that can help enable everyone to have broad access to better health care.
Because the ASG Nanoswift™ biosensor is silicon-based, measures electrically (vs. optically), and has a smaller form factor, we expect it to carry a 15X lower cost than an ELISA test.
Electrical measurements deliver a faster result than optical measurements in a test defined by the time for the protein to bind to the antibody — typically less than 15 minutes.
3 Easy Steps:
1. Expose sensor to solution.
2. Rinse.
3. Insert into the handheld testing system, which communicates with the computer and displays the protein concentration.
Our innovation of silicon + electrical measurement enables many small subsensors to be packed onto one chip and be isolated from each other. As a result, a single silicon biosensor can perform many different protein tests.
